Potty Training Update #2

Well...right now we're in Branson and all the boys are napping in the bedroom so I thought I'd take this time to update on Devin's potty training status.

He is doing WONDERFUL! I'm so proud of him. We've had ZERO accidents the whole time we've been here and he's even pooing in the potty here. On top of that every morning he is dry when he wakes up and asks to "Go pee pee in potty" first thing. I'm so glad this has been so easy for us. I'm also hoping that I'm not tooting my horn all to quickly because I know there can be some regression. I'm so glad that I followed my gut a few months ago and just realized that he wasn't ready when we tried because this time it really took. I was wondering back then if we were doing the right thing.

So anyway, we're SUPER proud of our ever rapidly growing and maturing little boy! I thought I would share the good news!

In a few hours we'll be off to Downtown Branson Landing to enjoy the evening. There is a man there who does balloon animals for the kids, and HUGE outdoor play area for the kids, and I'm hoping to take Devin to the Build-A-Bear and let him build a bear of his own. I built him one when he was 3 months old....but I know he's at the stage that he will enjoy picking out his own, helping them stuff it, and having a new little friend! It's so funny how excited I get about taking Devin to do something I'll know he'll enjoy.

If you haven't been to downtown Branson in the last 5 years you must check it out. I had NO idea that stuff has gone up. The last time we drove down there on one of our visits there were just a few Mom and Pop shops and that was about it. There are all kinds of shops there and lots of things for the kids to do.

We had a great 3 hour dinner last night at a restaurant that I can't remember the name of. We ate on the patio and watched the fire/water fountain show right next to us. That really kept Devin entertained.

This morning Devin and I went by ourselves to Krispy Kreme and picked up a dozen donuts. He's never had a donut so it was an extra special treat for him. On top of that they have windows that let you see the donuts coming down the conveyor belt and getting glazed. He thought it was so interesting. He's really getting to the stage that he wants to learn how things work. So much fun!

We'll be coming home tomorrow....so wish us good travels with the 2 children.
