He's OFF!

It's official! Gavin had his first solo walk about 15 minutes ago! I was sitting in the glider catching up on some old DVR'd programs and wouldn't ya know- that little turkey just took off! He was holding onto the corner of the coffee table when he let go. He walked to the middle of the living room, turned around and walked to me in the chair. That was probably around 20 steps. I was trying SO hard not to freak out because I wanted to see how far he would go on his own. He has taken several steps so far but NEVER without some encouragment first. (Unless you count a few little steps between the coffee table and couch.)

I guess I should get out the baby book and write the official first steps at 10 1/2 months! Now I'm going to be in some REAL trouble! I could have used a crawler for a little longer considering he makes ENOUGH messes as it is! I can only imagine the stuff he's going to be getting into now that it's on another level!

The Playhouse is FINALLY Here!

The playhouse from Grandma Carol arrived today! Devin was pretty excited about it and calls it his house. It was pretty cold outside but we still went to check it out. It hasn't been moved to it's final location so it looks a little out of place right now. Thanks again Grandma Carol! The boys will have lots of fun out there I'm sure of it!

Gavin Taking Some STEPS!

Mommy's Baby Boy is 10 Months Old!

I can't believe my little sweetie is already 10 MONTHS OLD! To think, this is my last little one. What a wonderful baby to end with!

Gavin Showing Some New "Skills"!

In this video Gavin is showing some of his new skills! He has learned to put the ball in the gumball machine and claps his hands after a few "YEAH'S" from mom. As you can see he's also standing alone quite a big now.

I sound a little overboard with the encouragement, but that is how I get him to clap. He usually claps for a longer, but you know once you break out the camera everything changes!

Hopefully soon I'll be able to catch him taking a few steps! He's been getting braver and braver!

Too Funny Not To Share

As hard as this is to believe, this picture had NO prompting!

Devin told me had to go poo so I put him up on the potty like we always do and shut the door. After a few minutes I heard him saying some things and thought he was done. When I opened the door this is what I saw! I was laughing SO hard. He serisouly looked like he was reading a very interesting article! Gotta love all these moments. Oh, and he's gonna kill me one day for this picture- I'm sure of it!
